A little bit of cross-promotion here today. The zine that I run with some friends — Static Zine — has a call-out for pitches to our tenth issue! The theme is milestones, aka, important times in your life (not the restaurant, Canadians) and the deadline to just submit your ideas for the zine is this Friday. (Yes, you read that right. We first accept pitches, then we discuss, and there’s a second deadline for the actual submission.)
Static Zine is a compilation zine, which means that it’s made by a ton of different people. For us, every issue is a different theme, and every page is by a different person interpreting that theme in however way they want, textually or visually.
So how would you interpret an important part of your life?
In the past, we’ve had essays, poetry, fiction, games, photography, fake scripts, fake text convos, illustrations, cartoons, comics… to name a few. They just have to fit on a 5.5×8.5 inch paper.
Have a milestone you’d like to write about or illustrate? Everything you need to know is at the Static Zine site. Plus, you can browse what some of our zines look like at the Static Cloud Etsy shop to give you an idea of what we’re looking for.
