Sometimes you want to try a different way of putting together mail for your pen pals other than just stuffing everything in an envelope. You want to make it a bit more presentable and fun. I’ve made these ‘folders’ a few times, and I’ve seen them around on Pinterest, but recently I made these two for my pen pals Nichole and Sandy (who are also pen pals with each other, ha!). Here’s what I came up with for them.
All I did was cut a double-sided scrapbook paper sheet into a desireable size and then fold it in half. I then used glue and washi tape to make pockets on each side with more scrapbook paper. I recommend using this kind of paper because it’s sturdier and cleaner than light paper that crinkles too much.
I tried to tailor at least a little to their personalities, a la typewriters and cute things. Easy because that’s my personality type, too!
I found it hard to fit more than just little sheets of stickers in, so in the future I will probably just keep it to wider pockets on each side rather than smaller ones.
